Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a structured program designed to address the underlying causes of insomnia. It combines cognitive and behavioral strategies to enhance sleep quality.

CBT-i Components

CBT-I consists of several key components, including sleep education, cognitive restructuring, sleep restriction, and relaxation techniques. Each component plays a crucial role in improving sleep patterns.

Effectiveness CBT-i

Research shows that CBT-I is highly effective in treating chronic insomnia. Many patients experience significant improvements in sleep quality and duration, often without the need for medication.

Longterm Benefits

The long-term benefits of CBT-I extend beyond immediate sleep improvements. Participants often report reduced anxiety, enhanced mood, and better overall health, contributing to sustained well-being.

Getting a good night’s sleep is important for both physical and mental health. It helps repair the body, boosts the immune system, and regulates hormones. Sleep also clears the mind, enhances concentration, and improves memory. It balances emotions, reduces stress and anxiety, and contributes to a healthier and more vibrant life. Prioritizing sleep is investing in your overall well-being and unlocking your full potential.

About ADHD Treatment

Sask Sleep Group Sessions

CBT-i Group Therapy offers a supportive and structured environment to address the underlying causes of sleep difficulties. In a small group, individuals with insomnia learn cognitive restructuring and behavioural techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts about sleep. The therapy equips participants with practical tools and strategies to develop healthy sleep habits, create a conducive sleep environment, establish a consistent bedtime routine, and manage stress and anxiety. Beyond treating insomnia, the group setting allows for connection with others who understand the experience, providing a supportive network to share experiences and offer advice. CBT-i Group Therapy is a step towards better sleep and improved well-being, offering relief from chronic insomnia and promoting a healthier, happier life.

SaskSleep offers a transformative CBT-i Group Therapy program in Saskatchewan designed to address the root causes of insomnia through a structured 6-session course. Participants engage in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), which combines cognitive restructuring and behavioral techniques to help individuals challenge unhelpful thoughts surrounding sleep. This supportive group environment fosters connections among participants, allowing them to share experiences and strategies while working towards healthier sleep habits.

The program spans six weeks, with each session lasting 120 minutes and includes daily homework assignments like maintaining a sleep diary. Participants benefit from the guidance of a dedicated therapist and can conveniently attend sessions online from home. The cost for the program is $250, which may be covered by some health insurance plans, while First Nation and Métis Nation Saskatchewan citizens can attend at no cost with approval.

By prioritizing sleep, participants not only tackle insomnia but also enhance their overall well-being, leading to improved physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. Interested individuals can complete an online intake form to begin their journey toward better sleep and a more vibrant life, with the next group session commencing once eight participants are registered.
